WHEN: Saturday, February 6, 2010 1 - 4 p.m. (Snow date February 27th)

WHERE:
Knox County Administrative Office, Knox County Courthouse, Rockland (High St. entrance)

WHAT:Collecting non-perishable food, money, goods, etc. on behalf of the A.I.O. Food Pantry and the Humane Society of Knox County during the month of January, leading up to the date of the event. (Please see bottom of page for the "wish lists" for both the Humane Society and the AIO Food Pantry.) Donations will be accepted the day of the event and anything donated at the drop-off points listed below will be brought to the courthouse the day of the event.

WHO: Representatives from both the A.I.O. Food Pantry and the Humane Society of Knox County will be on hand on February 6th to accept donations and to answer questions from the public.

Representatives from the C.A.R.T. (County Animal Response Team), the Knox County Emergency Management Agency, and the Knox Regional Communications Center 9-1-1 Public Education Unit will be there with information for the public.

Don Carrigan, reporter for WLBZ 2 and WCSH 6, will be attending with the infamous Togus the Cat.


The following are collection points for donations of cash, checks, non-perishable food, goods, etc. during the weeks leading up to the event:

The Registry of Deeds, Rockland courthouse, first floor
Knox County Administrative Office, Rockland courthouse, ground floor

These five locations will also be selling raffle tickets, the prizes for which have been donated by local businesses. The tickets are being sold for $2 each, or $10 for 6 tickets. We are accepting cash only for the raffle tickets as the money is being split between the two organizations.
